Mondial Motorcycles

Modial Motorcycles

Earlier today I came across an interesting posting on the Ducati.ms forum message board. Apparently someone had been to ProItalia in Glendale and had seen a Mondial Motorcycles in person. Having no idea what this was, I googled it and found some interesting info on the latest Italian Superbike Brand to be reborn.

In the fifties Mondial was another major Italian motorcycle factory, competing with the likes of Ducati, MV Agusta, Bimoto and Benelli (which just recently was reborn too). Mondial won a string of roadracing world championships during that time before going under. Yet before they went away, they were instrumental in helpping Honda learn how to race motorcycles. And now they’re back, the original name having been purchased by Ziletti (I have no idea who they are so if anyone can shed some light please let me know!) who asked Honda for their help in bringing the brand back.

Here’s a great article that explains just what Honda has done for Mondial, from the british motorcycle website Mcycletrans.co.uk . I found it a really interesting read, as there are several additional articles at the bottom of the page that go into greater detail about both Monial and their new liquid cooled Superbike.
